What is a Makerspace?

A Makerspace is any location where people gather together to build, collaborate, be creative, inspire, innovate, experiment and learn through making. At SFMS we believe every child is a maker, and strive to support all kinds of students with different learning modalities.

Stocked with arts & crafts, 3D printers, green screens and more, the Makerspace allow students to apply what they have learned in the classroom and bring it to life! Students gain 21st century skills, and are encouraged to not only be creative but connected to the community.

We would like to also thank everyone in the SFMS community who has donated tools and materials to the Makerspace for our students to use! Without your generous donations our students wouldn't be able to experience the possibilities of making.
